Mathematics is taught through the Primary Framework . The Mathematics Framework provides guidance on the teaching of Mathematics in primary schools. The Framework offers teachers the flexibility to incorporate Mathematics into all areas of the curriculum, ensuring that learning is challenging and effective. The abilities, attainments, interests and prior understanding of our pupils are incorporated into our Mathematics Policy in order to enrich the experience of our pupils, and to enable them to progress to their full potential.
English at Market Deeping Community School is also taught through the Primary Framework .The Literacy Framework provides teachers with a clear structure for teaching English through the identification of 12 strands of learning. The learning objectives within these strands provide flexibility of teaching and learning, and ensure progression. The Market Deeping Community School English Policy incorporates all aspects of the Literacy Framework and emphasises the importance that we place on Literacy at our school.
