We are beginning this term by talking about animals. We have already enjoyed a fantastic trip to Moor Farm in Newborough and we are excitedly awaiting the arrival of some eggs.
On Thursday 17th April the Cubs went on a trip to Moor Farm in Newborough. They had a fantastic day meeting the farmer and the animals that live on the farm. They even got to cuddle and feed the lambs! The afternoon was spent having a very bumpy tractor ride and looking at the crops the farmers grow. We saw fields of wheat, mustard and sugar beet as well as lapwings, a hare and a deer. We had a fantastic day! Thank you so much to all of our helpers and the Mrs Jacobs at Moor Farm.
The Royal Wedding...
On Friday, the Cubs had their own Royal Wedding Celebration. We looked more closely at what a wedding is and the key people that might attend a wedding. We discussed bridesmaids, page boys, vicars, best men, ushers, family and the bride and groom. We talked about the royal family and why a royal wedding might be very special to lots of people. The cubs decided they wanted to have their own wedding and dress up as the key people.
