Community Primary School
This term we are continuing our topic of 'Ancient Rome'.
To get the term off to a good start we had a Roman day in school which the children thoroughly enjoyed and certainly learnt a lot from!
Thank you to all our parents who came to watch our class assembly. The children worked extremely hard in remembering their lines and they all did a fantastic job on the day.
Our P.E days will continue to be on Wednesday and Thursday each week. This term they will be taking part in gymnastics where they will be learning to create sequences of different shapes and movements. Please ensure your child has their P.E for every session.
Our after school dance club is now every Wednesday and our after school football club continues to be every Thursday each week.
In English this term the children will be learning to write a balanced argument, a report and an advertising leaflet.
In Maths, the children will be learning to find fractions of shapes and amounts, add and subtract amounts of money, measure length and capacity and solve word problems using mental addition and subtraction.
Maths and English homework will continue to be given out every Friday. Our new Active Learn games are proving very popular and will continue to be used as part of our homework. If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with this, please do not hesitate to ask.
