Term 5

This term, we will be continuing with our World War II topic. We will be researching evacuation and rationing, which will result in attempting to cook some recipes from that time. The Diary of Anne Frank and the novel 'Carrie's War' will help us to understand more about what life was like at that time. We will also be visiting IWM Duxford - postponed from last term.

Our maths work will include a lot of problem solving using the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, alongside decimals and fractions. We will also be working with translating shapes, as well as identifying and classifying polygons.

In our science work, we will be finding out more about a range of different forces such as magnetism, friction, gravity, air and water resistance. Wherever possible, we will endeavour to work practically, planning and carrying out our own investigations, recording results and drawing conclusions.
