Monday: Summarise what you saw at the zoo by writing a short paragraph. What facts can you remember about the animals?
Tuesday: Choose an animal that you saw at the zoo and use books or the computer to research facts about your chosen animal. You could explore questions like: What food do they eat? Where do they come from? What environment do they live in? What do they look like? And any other interesting facts that you may find.
Wednesday: Plan and create a fact file using the planning template. This must include a picture, caption, heading and subheadings and the fantastic facts you have learnt about your chosen animal!
Thursday: Think about animals in the Zoo, have a debate with your family about whether animals should be kept in a Zoo or left in the wild. Once you have given your opinion and heard others, write 2 paragraph to summarise your discussion- 1 on why animals should be kept in Zoo's and 1 on why they should be left to live in the wild.

In science this term Year 4 will be grouping living things. This week you are going to continue looking at living things. This weeks task will help you with your learning throughout the rest of the term. If you can, get out in your garden or area around your house and look for as many different living things as you can see. Look in the air, in trees and on the ground. If you cant get outside, you could think about the living things you have seen when you have been out and about and you could do some research on the internet. Make a list of all the living things you saw, you might even want to take some pictures of the living things. You will need this list next week.
Our topic this term is Eco enthusiasts, so we thought this terms learning should be based around this and your pre-learning from before Easter.
